So, i was trying to google out the IP's or info about the Chinese Aion servers to answer my question: How do i know my ping to the different Chinese Aion servers so i can choose the best one to play on.
Well google gave me allmost nothing, so i grabbed TCPView (http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb897437.aspx) and started checking the IP's of all the servers and added those to PingPplotter (http://www.pingplotter.com/).
Obviously all the servers had different IP's but i noticed the same range of the ip's gives good enough info for my pinging, some servers have same ranges but also appear to have same level of character control lag. I was looking for a server where my melee character would continue its autoattack after performing a skill attack. Most servers caused my character to occasionally stop the autoattack after using a skill. And some rubberband more then the other, but the best ones for me seem to be the Central China and East China servers (Region 1 and Region 4), funny enough they both have same IP range.
Here are the IP's i listed for my own use:
Region 1 Central China 116.211.29.1
Region 2 North China 125.39.88.1
Region 3 South China 119.147.191.1
Region 4 East China 116.211.29.1
Region 5 East China2 119.147.191.1
Region 6 South West China 118.123.228.1
Region 7 North East China 125.39.88.1
Region 8 South China2 119.147.191.1
The easiest way to check is to just click on your windows navigation button (Start) then choose run (run) and in there type in cmd and press enter ofc.
That should open up a command prompt window where you can type in: ping *enter the ip from the list here that you want to check for ping* (so for me the best server was: ping 116.211.29.1)
Some of them are on same range, and i noticed some difference between the ones with same range, but only very slight improvement (or decrease) mostly due to population i guess. The less used regions seems to have a bit better response time to the more popular ones IE. Central China (Region 1) has a bit more lag then East China (Region 4) but both are on same ip range.
It seems i am able to control my melee character with good enough efficency with a ping less then 300. But only the East China (Region 4) was with low enough ping so, that is the region i decided to play on. in Mesramtaeda server.
